The #Ravellenics2021: Summer of Crafting was on when I decided on taking up this personal challenge of not only make a round cross body bag for myself, but also write and release the pattern within the stated timeframe. And God knows how hard I have worked!!
Happy that I achieved my personal goal but happier because I was also able to add two more patterns in that time frame to the #Ravellenics2021. Although written patterns for both are still under testing stage. Glad to say like everybody else who participated I also got earmarked! Feels so good to be part of something bigger than self.
So in love with the bright orange colour yarn used here to create marigold like beauty! Don’t go on looks alone; this super trendy bag is much easier to make and is totally workable in a day.
The pattern is available in instant download pdf format on the following links. It includes written pattern with photo tutorial and video tutorial link for working important stitches and transition . Click on the respective link below to get the pattern in pdf format-
Here is the Youtube link to the stitch pattern and transition for the marigold bag.
Overview
- First we work two circles separately
- Then we join both the circles stitch by stitch leaving space for bag opening.
- We give an edge to the round bag at the opening.
- Then at last we work the strap and join it to the body of the bag.
- Our marigold circle bag is now complete.
