The best crochet creations series-3.0
This is a product of my early crochet learning stage. After about a month into crocheting and spectacular success (in my eyes) in making coasters and a market bag for my mother (which everybody appreciated like it was Dior, while it is still hanging on the kitchen door to see the daylight) ; it was about time I took up a bigger project.
I would be lying if I said I have enough clothes. Because it seems I always keep losing them just when I need them for some occasion. So logical deduction to my next project was by default a crochet top.
I searched and researched for a project which was beginner friendly and had easy to follow instructions. Within a day i had found this beautiful tunic top. The best thing was it was worked top down as a single piece. Which meant I could test for the size n fit as I worked it through and there was no need to make the back and front and sleeves seperately.
The yarn used in this project is a stolen one hence i can not comment on the details of it. But for sure it was a Vardhaman brand multicolour yarn. My sister was learning to knit from our mother. She had ordered this beautiful yarn online from amazon.com. The day it arrived I had my eyes set on it. My sister didnt want to give it to me nor was it available online anymore. So I did what an elder sister always does. When she was out of town for couple of days, I stole it from her cupboard, made it into this gorgeous garment and wore it on the day she arrived ! 😀

The original pattern is thigh high with little bell sleeves. I had only 200gm of yarn and the project requires 400gm. Hence, I made it till the hips and then added white colour yarn ribbings on the sleeves as well as at the bottom of the garment. Yet it turned out well and looks stunning when paired with waist high skirt or denim.
