The best crochet creation series- 2.0
Surprisingly this has been the fasted and easiest project I made as a beginner. Simple treble crochet stitches in the round to make a granny square. Fold it and sew it and give it a nice ribbed border and we are done !
This was the first cardigan I made and most used one too. Every short trip to the market or visit to friends house, this cardigan has seen it all. Its breezy enough for those in between season and cozy enough for that little warmth.
What I love about this pattern is that every step is explained in a very beginner friendly way and it keeps reminding you to mind that crochet tension (ofcourse I learned this the hard way, after the finished garment is either too small or too large). The original pattern by drops design is a waist length shorter version. I made mine a little longer and added ribbed border for a cozier fit and finished look. Yarn used here is WOA fashions acrylic hand knitting yarn in colour multi blue-light blue. I truly loved the soft texture and feel of this yarn. I got this from amazon.com at a steal price. Since then I have been trying to get my hands on some more of the same yarn but its not available anywhere. Though one can get the same brand in other equally good colours.
What I learned after crocheting this garment was that one must follow the guage instructions carefully and try and make a swatch before proceeding with not only this but any pattern and you will have to sweat less afterwords.
