✨ Inspiration Behind the Design
The idea for the SummerKiss Top came to me during a particularly golden summer afternoon. I wanted to design something that felt light and airy, yet effortlessly stylish — something you could throw on over a skirt or jeans and instantly feel beautiful in. I was inspired by delicate fabrics, flowing hems, and the timeless appeal of peplum styles. The result? A top that’s feminine, flattering, and fun to make.
The Design Process
This crochet top is made with two panels worked in the round and seamed, with adjustable straps and an optional peplum flare to add a graceful movement. I chose breathable lightweight cotton yarns and beautiful shell stitches to keep the pattern beginner-friendly, yet satisfying for seasoned makers too. The construction is intuitive, making it a relaxing project acheivable in a couple of days or even over a weekend.
